Tie-Out Barns History The fairgrounds has 1445 Ties located over 17 barns throughout the fairgrounds. The number of Ties per barn varies and barns provide first rate tie out facilities. BARN 18 F - J   The barns in this series have 150 cattle ties all together. They are single story structures with concrete flooring, clay tile roofing, and wooden doors. Covered walkways join the barns along the east and west sides. Each has a central entrance with double wooden doors. They were constructed in 1928. These facilities consist of load bearing walls, and an asphalt and shingled roofing. A central isle accompanies the concrete floors and metal stalls. These barns are ideal for cattle stalling. There are 600 ties total throughout the barns. Large double entrance doors are located on gable ends. The roofing consists of corrugated metal. There are 40 ties available for cattle. The facility has a wood frame with open walls for ventilation. The double entrance openings give access to the center aisle surrounded by horse stalls. This barn is an excellent facility to host cattle shows or any livestock related event. The structure may also be used for additional horse stabling. Ventilation is provided by the open space that runs east to west. The large double doors with a centered aisle are lined with stalls.
