The Bureau of Marketing and Promotion’s Grown from the Heart in the Heartland Cookbook represents a collection of recipes highlighting Illinois food products.  The participating companies including Kraft and Libby have put forth a cadre of enticing products, not to mention recipes you will want to create. The cookbook includes a listing of the companies represented, a map and guide to Illinois Farmer’s Markets, helpful hints, healthful hints, the new USDA food pyramid, a measurement chart, information on food handling, substitutions, microwave tips, napkin folding instructions, meaningful facts about Illinois products and trivia regarding the origin of various food companies in Illinois.  The detail of facts in these cookbooks has been touted by educators throughout the State as useful tools for teaching the important role agriculture plays in our day to day lives. 

The cost of the book is $10.00 plus $2.00 for shipping and handling.
