Illinois Food Expo
The Illinois Food Expo is held annually in September or October at the Drury Lane Theatre Center, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
The Expo allows Illinois food companies to promote their food products to retail and foodservice food buyers located in the Midwest. Invited buyers represent the following categories:
- Major retailers
- Independent retailers
- Large and small wholesale suppliers
- Retail and foodservice distributors
- Convenience store distributors & wholesalers
- Food brokers
- Colleges and universities
- State institutions
- Government food purchasing personnel
The Executive Chef at the Drury Lane Theatre Center and his staff prepares and serves very appealing entrées of the food products provided by each participating company. The entrée is prepared per the company's recipes and instructions. Each entrée is served on an elegant buffet and made available for sampling by the invited food buyers. The Expo Ballroom is beautifully decorated with floral arrangements and candelabras while the food on the buffet is served on chinaware with silverware.
All booth spaces are located around the perimeter of the Ballroom with the elegant food buffet located in the center of the room.
Over 2,500 food buyers are invited. Participating companies are provided a copy of this list.
The cost to participate is $300 (or $375 if electricity is needed in your booth).
