Listed below are some of the activities/clinics that will taking place at this year's Illinois State Fair from August 9-19.
We are providing this list to you, and your family, so that you may have the opportunity to register for these events in advance.
If you or a family member would like additional information, or are interested in pre-registering for any of the activities documented
below, please do not hesitate to contact our Special Events Office at (217) 782-0777. Details and forms are available on line in pdf format. To view these you will need acrobat reader installed on your machine. Right click on the appropriate link to save the document to your computer.

Twilight Parade
This year's parade begins on August 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Marching Band Prizes And Awards
High School Bands will compete during the Parade, August 9.
Float Entries
Floats must be built around the Parade Theme.
Abe's Amble
Participants will gather in front of the Grandstand
on Sunday, August 19 for the 10K race which will start at 7:30 a.m. in front of the grandstand. You can register on-line at info@srrc.net.

Baby Picture Contest
All pictures must be postmarked or hand delivered by August 1, 2012. ALL photographs will be on display during the entire Illinois State Fair, August 9 - 19,
in the Kids Korner area, to the south of the Emmerson Building.
Baton Twirling Contest
Saturday, August 18, 2012, 9:00 a.m. - All entries must be postmarked by August 1, 2012.

Saturday, August 11, 2012, 11:30 p.m., Lincoln Stage (Register on-line)
Pedal Pull Contest
Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 1:30 p.m. The Shed on Illinois Avenue. Competition is open to all boys and girls weighing between 30 and 80 pounds in attendance the day of the pull. No advance entries.
Ponytail Contest

Smile Contest

Talent Contest
