2011 ILLINOIS STATE FAIR
PRESS CREDENTIAL INFORMATION
Press credentials now are being issued for the 2011 Illinois State Fair. Requests should be made on company letterhead and include the following information:
- The total number of parking passes and admission badges that are needed, and
- The signature of the person responsible for the credentials request.
Every employee of a news organization who will be covering the fair does not have to submit a separate request. A single request can be made for the entire organization.
Requests can be mailed, faxed or hand-delivered to the Emmerson Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The address is: Attn: Anthony Selvaggio , Illinois State Fair Press Office, P.O. Box 19427, Springfield, Ill., 62794-9427. The fax number is (217) 782-9115.

- A press credential is a photo I.D. issued by the Illinois State Fair Press Office after a written request has been submitted on an organization's official letterhead and approved.
- A press credential is issued only to those members of organizations who are attending the Fair in an official capacity to gather and disseminate Illinois State Fair news.
- Press credentials are issued in person only.
- Lost or stolen credentials will not be replaced.
- A press credential allows free admittance to the fairgrounds only for the bearer.
- Requests for photos, video, interviews, etc. will be handled on an individual basis through the Illinois State Fair Press Office manager. Artist's tour management approved concert photographers will be notified before show dates.
- The number of available parking spaces on the fairgrounds is extremely limited. As a result, requests for multiple parking permits will be considered on an individual basis. Please request the minimum number of parking passes that will fill your needs, keeping in mind that they are transferable. If a vehicle is being used on the fairgrounds for five days or more, a permanent parking pass will be issued.
- All credentials other than press passes are issued through the Illinois State Fair Credentials Office, Emerson Building, State Fairgrounds, P.O. Box 19427, Springfield, IL 62794-9427, phone (217) 524-7993.

NOTE: THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR PRESS OFFICE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REQUEST ANY INFORMATION FROM MEDIA ORGANIZATIONS TO CONFIRM NAMES AND POSITIONS OF STAFF AND OTHER PERSONNEL STATED IN REQUEST LETTERS, AS WELL AS A LISTING OF EVENTS BEING COVERED ON THE FAIRGROUNDS BY SUCH STAFF. THIS RIGHT IS HELD IN ORDER TO VERIFY THAT PERSONS LISTED WILL BE ATTENDING THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR IN AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY TO COLLECT AND DISSEMINATE OFFICIAL ILLINOIS STATE FAIR INFORMATION. THE PRESS OFFICE ALSO RESERVES THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT OF WITHHOLDING ANY AND/OR ALL CREDENTIALS AND PASSES FROM ANY ORGANIZATION AND/OR ANY MEMBER OF ITS STAFF.
