ILLINOIS STATE FAIR GRANDSTAND TICKETS ON SALE JUNE 9

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Reserved seating tickets for grandstand shows at the 2001 Illinois State Fair will go on sale at 10 a.m. June 9 at the grandstand ticket office and at all Ticketmaster locations.

The 2001 State Fair will feature acclaimed country band Alabama, pop sensation 98 Degrees and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bob Dylan. Other grandstand performers include Patti LaBelle, Chicago, Willie Nelson, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Bobby Vee, Brian Hyland, Freddy Cannon, Little Eva and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra.

All shows begin at 8:00 p.m., except for the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $12 to $25, and all ticket purchases include a single admission to the Illinois State Fair.

Megapasses, good for unlimited carnival rides at the State Fair, will for the first time be available for sale at the grandstand during the first day of grandstand ticket sales. Megapasses purchased prior to the start of the Illinois State Fair are $45 each.

Tickets for professional rodeo events, tractor pulls and auto races will also go on sale June 9 and will be available at the grandstand ticket office.

No phone or walk-up orders will be accepted before June 9, 2001. All sales are final.

The fair does not provide refunds or exchanges on ticket purchases. The 2001 Illinois State Fair runs Aug. 10 - 19.
