Become a Part of the Parade
There is something for both young and old in the parade - from marchers to riders on horseback and you too can be a part of the fun. The Illinois State Fair is looking for groups who are interested in participating in the parade. This year's theme is "MAKING MEMORIES at THE ILLINOIS STATE FAIR". Participation details and forms are available below. To view these you will need acrobat reader installed on your machine. Right click on the appropriate link to save the document to your computer.
Marching Band Entry, Prizes And Awards
High School Bands will compete during the Parade, August 7.
Float entries are open to both commercial and non-commercial groups. Floats must be build around the Parade Theme.
Specialty Units Entry
A specialty unit is defined as any other parade unit that is not a float, equestrian, or queen. This can include, but is not limited to specialty vehicles, synchronized walking units and entertainers. The number of walkers accompanying any Specialty Unit will be limited, with the exact number determined by the committee.
