Each day of the fair has it’s own unique theme. Come and enjoy each days activities as they revolve around that days theme. Or, search through the database to find when your favorite act or event is scheduled.



From country to classical the Illinois State Fair offers nightly concerts for everyone to enjoy. During the day, watch tractor pulls, horse races, and automotive races. Click the link to see who will be performing this year

The Arena

The Arena

Come see some great entertainment under the tents of the multi-purpose Arena. This area offers a unique venue from concerts to cow pokes. Don’t miss a minute of the excitement.

Rides & Attractions

Adventure Village & Midway Rides

With more than 100 Carnival Midway and Adventure Village rides, children of all ages will have the time of their lives.

Butter Cow

Located in the Dairy Building, the butter cow has been an unofficial icon of the fair since the 1920′s.

Conservation World

Located in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds, this educational area contains over 30 acres of green grass, trees, rolling hills and ponds. Open for 11 am – 7 pm

Ethnic Village

Thirteen countries and two international beer booths will be represented in the Ethnic Village this year: open 10:30 am – 10 pm daily. Live music from Noon – 9 pm

Happy Hollow

Located just inside the main gate, Happy Hollow features games, exotic animal entertainment and shows including Scotts Future of Magic show, Swampmaster Gator Show, The Wolf Pack, & Eudora Farms Petting Zoo.

The Heartland

Located inside gate 2, The Heartland is Illinois’ Salute to Agriculture open from 10 am – 8 pm daily featuring family entertainment and education programs on agriculture.

High Dive Show

Located next to the Exposition Building, the high dive show is mixed with comedy, music and breathtaking thrills including a finale dive of over 70 feet!

Illinois Fire Museum & Services Tent

See antique fire service memorabilia as well as modern equipment at the Illinois Fire Museum. The museum, located at the Old Firehouse at Main and Central Avenues.

Illinois Wine Experience

Come taste wines from nearly 20 Illinois wineries.

Illinois Building / Senior Center

A variety of entertain in the auditorium as well as people of all ages can get valuable information and screenings. Sponsored by the Prairie Heart Institute – St. John’s Hospital.

Kids Korner

Located on Main St. South end of the Emmerson Building, Kids Korner offers a variety of family entertainment, safety programs, face painting, activities, diaper changing/nursing area and a tiny tots play area.


Located in the 25/Q Series Barn, this unique exhibit is something that most fairgoers can only do at the fair! Open 10am – 7pm
