The Whip Guy-Chris Camp
Daily Shows; 11:30 a.m.,2:30 p.m. & 4:00 p.m.
Springfield local, Chris Camp, is a world-class whip cracker who might be mistaken for Indiana Jones when you hear the “zwip-pop” of his bullwhip. Camp won three gold medals in the whip-cracking competition at the annual Wild West Arts Club convention in Las Vegas and was named "Best New Whip Cracker." The whip crack is the first, man-made sonic boom. The cracker (a small piece of nylon connected to the end of a whip) moves at 750 to 900 miles per hour. The sound when it reaches this speed is the sonic boom. Camp has set a Guinness Book World Record. In a Las Vegas event, he won the "Lightning Whip Contest" when he snapped his whip 11 times in 3 seconds! If you thought you'd seen it all, wait until you see this guy!
