PRO-AM ARENA CROSS AND MOTOCROSS
August 12th & 13th, 7:00 p.m., The Arena
On August 12-13 the Arena at the Illinois State
Fairgrounds will be transformed into a national caliber Arena Cross
racing facility. Hundreds of
riders in over 20 classes of competition are expected to turn out and
test their skill on the challenging course. The event will feature
several different age groups and skill levels for Pro and Amateur riders
alike. Everything from "pee wee's" to ATV's to 250cc motorcycles will
be hosted throughout the weekend.
The event kicks off on Friday with practice sessions starting
at 4:30 pm. Gates will open to the public at 6:00 pm for the Friday
event with final rounds of racing kicking off at 7:00 pm. The event will feature 125cc and 250cc Pro/Am classes of racing as well
as the very popular 50, 65, and 85cc divisions for the younger riders.
Things gear up even more for the Saturday event. By 7:00 pm, the
fields will be narrowed down and it's time to go racing once again with
the weekend finale.
