National Ash Tree Seed Collection Initiative

The USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service has an effort underway to collect and store native ash tree seed germplasm before the trees are destroyed completely by Emerald Ash Borer. In Michigan, nearly the entire south eastern portion of the state no longer has any ash trees remaining. In an effort to save the native germplasm from all the ash species, the National Ash Tree Seed Collection Initiative was created.
